Tips for a Better Visit
Confirm Length. Before leaving your pet, repeat the exact haircut length and whether shaving is allowed; one review describes a much shorter cut than requested.
Discuss Matting. If your pet is matted, confirm whether only the affected area will be shaved; a customer agreed to chest shaving but reported a broader cut.
Check Pricing. Ask for the final grooming price before the appointment or trim, since one customer reported an unannounced size-based increase.
Ask Discounts. If you are buying supplies with grooming, ask whether a shop-item discount applies; one customer received one after grooming.
Request Drop-Off. Ask whether collection and home drop-off is available if transport is inconvenient; a review says this can be requested.

The Bottom Line
Afro Pets - Mirdif Branch is a pet groomer and supply shop in Mirdif. Customers bring cats and dogs for full grooming, while the shop also stocks cat food and other pet essentials. Reviews regularly point to gentle handling, friendly service and clean, organised surroundings.
Cat grooming is a clear strength. One detailed review says the full session covered a bath, brushing, nail trim and ear cleaning, leaving the cats fluffy and fresh. Dog owners also describe pets returning clean and comfortable.
The shop’s range includes food, toys, accessories and treats, making it useful for a routine supply run as well as an appointment. There are practical extras: collection and home drop-off can be requested, and several reviews mention discounts on shop items after grooming. Pricing is often described as reasonable or good value, although one long-term customer found it higher than nearby places.
The main caution is to confirm the haircut plan and price before leaving your pet. A few customers reported cuts that were much shorter or more uneven than expected, including shaving beyond the matted area, while another reported an unannounced size-based price increase. Clear instructions are worth giving, especially for tangled coats.
