What to Avoid (2)

Food 2

  1. Masala omlette with bread Net −1
“I ordered a very simple menu i.e. masala omlette with bread. In this itself they took around 30 minutes to serve and that too not hot. It was visible thay they made it much before time but their staff didn't serve it immediately when it was being ready to serve. Such type of late servings and literally even now warm food is totally unacceptable.”
  2. Mutton sheekh kebab Net −1
“Just waiting at the Amritsar restaurant in Karama for a parcel and watching the chef prepare the food from outside, he prepared the mutton sheekh kebab in a microwave rather than a grill. The same was given offered to me over the counter. So please guys beware if such big chain of hotel begin to do this imagine what are we getting on the plate. When questioned the guy on the counter agreed to their mistake and promised to make another one which would be fresh. Not too impressed.”

The Bottom Line

Amritsr Restaurant is a Punjabi-focused Indian restaurant in Al Karama, and the clearest reason to consider it is the food: reviewers repeatedly mention Amritsari or aloo kulcha, Chole Bhature, butter chicken and lassi. The kulcha is served in a traditional thali in one review, while another praises its stuffed, comforting texture. Sweet and mango lassi are popular ways to balance the richer dishes.

The setting is described as warm, vintage and distinctly North Indian, with Punjabi music playing in the background. It is also reported to be open 24/7, so it can work for a late dinner or breakfast; one reviewer specifically enjoyed aloo and mixed parathas with coffee. Families may appreciate the pencils and doodling sheets provided for children.

Catering is another option mentioned in the reviews, including on-time live stations at a housewarming event. Service is the main variable. Many diners describe friendly, helpful attention, but others report waiting 30–45 minutes or being ignored while trying to order.

Driving requires patience too, since parking nearby is limited and paid. Prices are described as slightly above average, though some reviewers feel generous portions make them worthwhile.
