  20. Wings Net +1
“We went there for open wings with rice and fries for 29 dhs only. The first plate arrived quickly after around 8 minutes, but when we went for round 2 I think they forgot about us and we had to keep reminding them as the plate of 5 wings literally took more than 20 minutes to arrive which destroys the concept of all you can eat wings since after some time u won't want more. Anyway, I saw the responsible guy pointing at us to other employees as the order really took time, so I think he tried to correct this error although it was too late. However other than this, the service was excellent. Prices are good and food is really delicious. Recommended.”
  21. Yalanji Net +1
“The restaurant was really nice and the food was delicious, especially the shawarma and yalanji.”

Food 2

  1. Arabic broasted chicken Net −1
“I am used to having Arabic broasted chicken that has a really excellent taste like one in Laffa. But this one is a letdown. I hope they can improve.”
  2. Chicken wings Net −1
“It would have been entirely a different dining experience if we had been offered options of their chicken wings sauce. Chicken wings is simply bland unless drizzled with special house sauces.”

The Bottom Line

Arous Beirut is a family-run Lebanese restaurant in Al Barsha where you can settle in for a full meal or pick up shawarma. The menu has plenty of familiar choices, but the reviews give special attention to juicy shawarma, hummus, fattoush, freshly baked manakish and mixed grill. One visitor also enjoyed chicken and potatoes in the pot, while another praised a 1 kg mixed grill with complimentary mint tea.

The setting comes across as clean, comfortable and more polished than flashy, with Lebanese wall paintings and a generally warm atmosphere. Service is often described as attentive and quick, and reviewers mention staff helping with menu choices or accommodating requests such as making a falafel plate that was not listed. It can work for families, solo diners and hotel guests staying nearby.

Market Insurance Metro Station is about a five-minute walk away; roadside parking is available, though finding a space can be difficult at busy times. There are some reasons to keep expectations measured. One review reported mutton that smelled bad, while another described several unavailable dishes during a birthday visit.

A separate group was moved outdoors mid-meal and encountered cigarette smoke. For a smoother visit, check availability and consider going outside peak periods.
