  25. Pot stickers Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“We only ordered siumai, wontons, and pot stickers. We waited 30 mins to get served when its not even rush hour and there was only 1 guy after us who ordered. Meaning they dont have much to prepare and there were 4 or 5 of them in the kitchen preparing. They are not even apologizing for keeping us waiting. Food portion was okay for the price. Taste was okay too but not worth waiting 30 mins.”

  1. Bbq chicken wings Net −1

  2. Massaman curry Net −1
“The Massaman curry was not authentic at all.”
  3. Pad thai shrimp Net −1
“Food quality has gone down significantly in past few weeks. Pad Thai shrimp had shrimp of lowest quality and that too frozen. Noodles had coarseness. Very unhealthy.”
  4. Thai curry with rice Net −1
“I ordered Thai curry with rice and just the smell made me nauseous. I have no idea what they put in the food but it definitely isn't what's supposed to be in it. It was filled with Indian spices and tasted more like daal if you've tried that.”
  5. Udan noodles Net −1
“I ordered the udan noodles, like I usually do. It was filled with soya sauce and less chicken. I could barely have more than 5 spoons.”
  6. Tom yum soup Net −2

  7. Wonton soup Net −2
    “The wonton soup was bland.”
  8. Ramen Net −4
“I’m sorry, but it didn’t taste like ramen at all. Even if it were labeled as chicken noodle soup, the flavor still wouldn’t be acceptable.”

The Bottom Line

Asian Wok is a Chinese and broader Asian-food counter in Food Central at Deira City Centre, Port Saeed. It suits a casual mall meal, takeaway or dine-in, especially if you are considering the Laksa, Nasi Goreng, Pad Thai or Thai Prawn Curry. The setting is less hectic than a standard mall food court, and parking was not a concern for one reviewer.

The strongest dish-specific feedback goes to the Laksa and Nasi Goreng. One diner who had eaten Laksa in Singapore and Malaysia called this version as good as the original, while another said the Nasi Goreng serving could feed two people. Thai Prawn Curry also received praise for crispy prawns and a creamy, well-balanced flavour.

Portions are often described as generous for the price, although that is not consistent. The main caution is variability. Recent reviews mention poor-quality frozen shrimp, salty or heavily sauced noodles, disappointing ramen and Tom Yum, and customisation requests being missed.

Several diners also found popular items unavailable, including Pad Thai, bao buns and rice. Come outside the busiest lunch periods if possible, confirm availability first, and state your spice preference clearly. If a dish is wrong, one reviewer reported that staff handled a refund promptly.
