  27. Mutton biryani jeera samba Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“I had half plate chicken kabab and mutton biryani Jeera samba. The kabab was excellent reminded me of the ones you get in Bangalore really nice. Biryani was good, mutton was decent not very soft not was it very chewy, it was middle ground and not bad. The rice and overall flavor was nice but it felt like they just cooked up a new batch and just finished cooking and the person cooking put the ginger and garlic paste a little later because I could get the hit of raw garlic smell from the rice. I felt like it needed some more cooking time because I got the leftover back home and managed to heat it up in the pan cooked it a little bit more and most of that raw garlic smell disappeared and it tasted good.”
  28. Take away mutton biryani Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“I ordered Take away Mutton Biryani and biryani rice. Taste was ok , The quantity for biryani rice us too little for 15 aed and 27 Dhs for a biryani is a bit too much i felt ,”

What to Avoid (2)

Food 2

  1. 2Kg mutton biryani Net −1
“We ordered 2kg mutton biryani for Eid, and although the rice and masala tasted good, the mutton quality was very poor. The meat had a noticeable smell and did not feel fresh at all.”
  2. Jumbo mutton biryani Net −1
“Jumbo mutton biryani at 70 AED is not worth it at all because of multiple reasons such as low quantity, they do not fill the biryani boxes up properly and just throw whatever there is so for that price, it is definitely not worth it. For their “jumbo” size, their quantity makes it seem like it’s only for 1-2 people. The quality of the mutton that they use now is really bad and at times smells and tastes bad. In most of my orders I’ve been given more bones than actual meat. Their biryani has also become very bland in taste which wasn’t the case when they initially opened.”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 4
1

Dine In. Choose dining in for made-to-order dishes; one review says food becomes soggy when ordered for delivery.

2

Confirm Portions. Ask how many people a jumbo biryani will actually serve before ordering, as one diner found the stated two-person portion too large.

The Bottom Line

Bangalore Grand Taj is an Indian restaurant in Al Nahda built around Bangalore and Karnataka flavours. The clearest reason to visit is the shaadi ki biryani, which several diners say recalls a Bangalore wedding feast or home cooking. Veal kebab, Teetar fry and badam ka meetha are also repeatedly mentioned, giving first-timers a few distinctive choices beyond the main rice dish.

The dining room is described as neat, modern and welcoming, with a glass-fronted look, some greenery and enough space for larger groups. Reviews also say made-to-order food is better when eaten in; delivery can leave dishes soggy. That makes a sit-down meal the safer way to judge the kitchen, especially for kebabs.

Quality and value are not completely consistent. Recent delivery reviews criticise underfilled jumbo biryani boxes, expensive app pricing and chicken kebabs arriving cold or dry. More seriously, several diners reported an unpleasant smell or poor freshness in the mutton, including after a 2kg Eid order.

A separate 3kg iftar order was late and reportedly given to someone else, so confirm large orders carefully. Prices vary by portion and occasion: customers reported AED 25 for a biryani bundle, AED 27 for biryani and AED 70 for jumbo mutton biryani. Ask about serving size before ordering.
