  25. Nalli Net 0

    Mixed feedback

“I visit the restaurant when i have guest visiting us in dubai, for obvious reason that they have FAT loaded in their every dish, I avoid going there often, the taste is good, service is slow, atmosphere they have family room, reaching family room is bit risky as you have to go through a narrow staircase. If you have babies with you, please be cautious. If you are not used to fatty food, it can upset your stomach. Rest decent pricing but for few things like their Nalli is bit costly.”

Food 2

  1. Beef paya Net −1
“We visited Bannu Gul Beef Pulao Restaurant specifically to enjoy the mutton and beef paya they are famous for, but the entire experience completely ruined our Eid celebration. The service was terribly delayed, and when the food finally arrived, it was served cold. To make matters worse, the staff exhibited extremely bad behavior and lacked basic professionalism. The hygiene standards of the place were also highly questionable. A special festive day was totally ruined by incompetent service and terrible food management. Will never visit again and absolutely do not recommend.”

The Bottom Line

Bannu Gul is a Pakistani restaurant in Al Quoz that draws people mainly for traditional Bannu-style meat dishes. The clearest starting point is the beef pulao: reviews describe fragrant, well-cooked rice with tender beef, while the nalli version adds a rich bone-marrow element. Chapli kebab, particularly nalli chapli kebab, is another frequently praised choice.

Portions can be substantial. One reviewer shared a 1kg pulao between two people, with fresh raita, while others mention generous servings and budget-friendly pricing. The restaurant has a separate family section upstairs, and a review describes it as open 24 hours, though the upstairs staircase is narrow and may need extra care with babies.

Expect a lively, crowded setting rather than polished decor. Peak-hour parking can be difficult, and some diners report waiting for food. Hygiene feedback is mixed: several reviews mention flies or an untidy dining room, although another found the wash area and toilets neat.

The food can also be oily, especially with nalli, and takeaway portions have occasionally been criticised for containing mostly bones. Ask whether nalli is an extra charge and consider visiting outside the rush.
