Food 10

  1. Asado mix grill Net +1
“We loved everything we had, the empanadas, the asado mix grill… portions are generous… at the end we had to ask who was the chef… and when I heard Colagreco I understood… the chef is 3 Michelin stars… nothing else to say….”
  2. Australian sirloin Net +1
“Simply the best food I have eaten in weeks. Pricey, but flawless. The Australian sirloin could not be faulted. The knowledge and proactive consideration of dietary restrictions and allergies was perfect. The service and ambiance could not have been better.”
  3. Burrata salad Net +1
“I had Burrata salad and octopus, I have to say the food was outstanding. The service was also highlight of the day. Sandeep assisted us in our lunch. He is the star!”
  4. Empanadas Net +1
“We loved everything we had, the empanadas, the asado mix grill… portions are generous… at the end we had to ask who was the chef… and when I heard Colagreco I understood… the chef is 3 Michelin stars… nothing else to say….”
  5. Fries Net +1
“The burger for me was pretty ordinary, nothing was technically wrong with it, but the meat, while was superb quality, just lacked flavour, it was cooked perfectly, had a perfect crumble, but I just wasn't wow'd by the flavour of it, and to be honest, at 175dhs for a burger, Im fully expecting to be wow'd. The chimichurri mayo didnt taste of chimichurri to me, it just was like a very thin mayo, and overall the burger just lacked oomph, and the fact that the bun seemed a little sweet to me topped off the very ordinary experience. I have to add though, the accompanying fries were incredibly good, while not crispy, they tasted like real fried potatoes and were seasoned perfectly.”
  6. Fritto misto Net +1
“We started with the Fritto Misto, a generous mix of calamari, octopus, and shrimp served with tartar sauce. Everything was fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned.”
  7. Grigliata di pesce Net +1
“For our main course, we chose the Grigliata di Pesce — an impressive seafood platter for two featuring squid, scallops, prawns, octopus, and a whole sea bass that was expertly deboned right in front of us. The flavors were clean, fresh, and truly delicious.”
  8. Guacamole dip Net +1
“I ordered their special raw oysters and my daughter ordered their guacamole dip…both were absolutely delicious..”
  9. Home made pistaccio ice cream with salt sprinkles and olive oil Net +1
“He even offered me some home made pistaccio ice cream with salt sprinkles and olive oil. Muaaaaaah!”
  10. Lamb chops Net +1
“This is a must fantastic restaurant, great vibes, the food is to die for , 😁lamb chops,”

Food 4

  1. Australian wagyu burger Net −1
“We already had a late breakfast and were just planning a few lazy drinks while looking at the water, but when I saw the 'Australian Wagyu' burger with chimichurri mayo I absolutely had to try it, especially with how excited the guy was when I was asking about it. The burger for me was pretty ordinary, nothing was technically wrong with it, but the meat, while was superb quality, just lacked flavour, it was cooked perfectly, had a perfect crumble, but I just wasn't wow'd by the flavour of it, and to be honest, at 175dhs for a burger, Im fully expecting to be wow'd. The chimichurri mayo didnt taste of chimichurri to me, it just was like a very thin mayo, and overall the burger just lacked oomph, and the fact that the bun seemed a little sweet to me topped off the very ordinary experience.”
  2. Lamb special Net −1
“The lamb special was a complete let down - very fatty and average tasty, probably was 65% fat+bone.”
  3. Tuna salad Net −1
“salad with quinoa and broccoli was amazing👍🏻 but tuna salad was not good - sauce ruined the taste.”
  4. Wagyu short rips Net −1
“I really don’t know why this place is so hype. Service level was below average. Wagyu short rips were sticky and hard to swallow. Staff didn’t get the order well so we had to wait longer for the dessert menu that we actually ordered. This is just the part getting started but I wouldn’t mention whole thing. They really need to take it up a notch.”

1

Book ahead. Book if you are dining with a large group, as one review specifically advises reserving a table.

Choose sunset. Aim for sunset if the view and atmosphere are priorities; multiple reviews identify this as a particularly attractive time.

The Bottom Line

BBG is a beachside seafood restaurant and bar in Dubai Marina, inside the One&Only Royal Mirage. Its main draw is the setting: an outdoor terrace facing the ocean, beach and Palm, with sunset views and a generally relaxed, polished atmosphere. It works well for a leisurely dinner, drinks or a special evening rather than a quick, value-focused meal.

Seafood is the natural starting point. The Grigliata di Pesce is a sharing platter for two with squid, scallops, prawns, octopus and whole sea bass deboned at the table. Fritto Misto, oysters, octopus and sea bass also appear in positive reviews.

The pannacotta and tiramisu are notable dessert choices, while steak dishes such as ribeye and Australian sirloin give non-seafood diners another route. Service is often warm and attentive, but it is not completely consistent: one guest waited more than 15 minutes to order, and another reported several missed requests. Prices can feel steep, with portions sometimes described as small.

Outdoor tables may attract flies, though staff have supplied fly fans. Book ahead for groups, consider sunset, and use the hotel’s valet parking. Families may prefer the Lazy Sunday brunch, where children can play on the beach or lawn.
