  3. Royal crunchy box Net +1
“Ordered Chicken Burger Combo and Royal Crunchy Box. It was good will be ordering the same again next time.”
  4. Royal meal Net +1
“I recently tried the Royal Meal at Chicking, and while the portion size and price were decent, the overall experience left much to be desired. The meal included a burger, fries, chicken wings, and water, though they only had soft drinks available. The chicken itself wasn't as delicious as I had hoped, lacking the flavor and tenderness I expected. However, considering the generous portion size and affordable price, it was still a satisfactory meal. If Chicking can improve the taste and quality of their chicken dishes and offer a wider beverage selection, it could greatly enhance the dining experience for customers.”
  5. Wrap chicken Net +1
“Had a wrap chicken and chips. The food was delicious! Look forward to having of their other specials on offer!”
  6. Chicken tenders Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“Tried their Chicken Tenders Fruit Salad with Coleslaw. Food is average in terms of taste and quality and quantity as well as compare to others nearby with same items.”

Food 12

  1. Baby's burger Net −1
“Very poor service and Food please don't eat here, showing big pictures on the menu and actually it's baby's burger and taste less,”
  2. Chicken strip Net −1
“The fried chicken and chicken strip they served was obviously just reheated. I always order at chicking in MOE so I know how it should taste like. Bad experience. Had to throw the food.”
  3. Chicken stripe Net −1
“I ordered chicken stripe and the staff asked me if I wanted spicy or non-spicy. I chose the non-spicy one, but I had never expected it was tasteless. I appreciated the good portion, but the meat really had no taste at all.”
  4. Enhanced flavor of grilled chicken Net −1
“So they have this so-called " Enhanced Flavor of Grilled Chicken" which has a very mouthwatering on the board. but when they served it. it looks like someone has already eaten from the leg part of the chicken. And when I approaced 2 Filipina wearing navy blue polo shirt and white longsleeves shirt (I assume they were the one who was In-charge at that time, they were explaining to me that, that is the normal serving and presentation. due to grilling process, the skin of the chicken was removed and really looks awful. they changed it but still the portion and appearance of the dish doesn't look edible. all dishes were tastless.plus! a little bit of aggression from the two staff. so disappointing.”
  5. Grilled chicken wings Net −1
“Grilled chicken wings are generously seasoned as if shop owner just murdered a salt dealer; woth trying for those who come with additional hydration backups and/or those who with better kidney coverage in their insurance.”
  6. Mexi grill supreme Net −1
“Ordered mexi grill supreme and royal fillet supreme. Cold and even bun was in bad quality.”
  7. Normal fried chicken Net −1
“Very bad experience, promise within 15 mins but when I asked after 20 mins they have not yet cooked the normal fried chicken. I gave my token 0091 to them and did not bother to reimburse, pathetic and unorganized fast food.”
  8. Royal fillet supreme Net −1
“Ordered mexi grill supreme and royal fillet supreme. Cold and even bun was in bad quality.”
  9. Royal snack Net −1
“The Royal Snack (calling it “Royal” is an outright insult.)was equally bland and forgettable.”
  10. Royal treat Net −1
“I recently tried the Royal Treat at Chicking, and while the portion size and price were unexpected The meal included a burger, fries, chicken 4 pieces of chiken and large veg exotica, bun and fanta. We are not 100 percent satisfied with their food which I expected.”
  11. Spicy fries Net −1
“I ordered 9 chicken pieces and spicy fries. What they gave me is inaccurate and they couldn’t even tell if their fries are spicy.”
  12. Spicy royal wraps Net −1
“Through Talabat we ordered four spicy Royal Wraps and three fries, and we specifically requested two regular wraps and two without salad. All four arrived without salad, and they were all drowned in a disgusting orange-coloured spicy dressing. If the chicken itself is spicy why do you need to add spicy dressing on top of that? The combined spicy taste was so overpowering we couldn't even taste the chicken properly. When Chicking first opened many years ago the quality was excellent and they were a worthy alternative to their direct competitor (KFC) with lower prices. But in the past year or so we've noticed a huge drop in quality and now their prices are unjustifiably even higher than KFC for comparable items. We used to enjoy their food but after the past few experiences we're not ordering again. Terrible value for money and the quality is very bad.”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 6
1

Avoid Rush. Visit outside busy periods if possible: one regular reported a 20-minute wait, while promotions can bring a major rush.

2

Check Orders. For delivery or takeaway, check every item before leaving; an online Family Feast order was missing its drink.

The Bottom Line

Chicking Ibn Battuta Mall is a halal quick-service chicken restaurant in Jebel Ali Village where you can dine in, take away or order delivery. The menu mentioned in reviews includes fried chicken, grilled chicken wings, chicken strips, burgers, wraps and family-style meal deals. It is worth considering when portion size and price matter: customers have described generous servings and pocket-friendly meals.

The experience is uneven. One recent promotion order produced very crispy, hot fried chicken even during a heavy rush, while other customers received cold, bland or apparently reheated chicken, soft buns and disappointing fries. Grilled chicken wings also drew a memorable warning for being heavily salted.

The Royal Treat was a notably large meal with a burger, fries, four chicken pieces, a bun, a drink and a vegetable side, but reviews do not agree on the taste or quality. Allow extra time rather than assuming fast-food speed; waits of 20 to 30 minutes are reported, and a direct-app delivery reportedly took almost 90 minutes for a nearby address. Check takeaway and delivery bags for missing items, confirm promotions, and bring exact cash or a card because one customer said change was unavailable.

For a quick mall meal, the value can work, but freshness and service are the key variables.
