Food 3

  1. Fried rice Net +2
“The soups and fried rice were great. And the lobster was decent at a very reasonable price.”
  2. Har gau Net +2
“For our dinner, we opted for the buffet which included a wide assortment of dimsum, fried food, some mains, rice, dessert, and bottomless drinks. Particularly enjoyed the hakaw and desserts. Would come back again and try the a la carte menu next.”
  3. Sweet-and-sour chicken Net +2
“I don’t understand how this place scores 4.7. Honestly the food was not good at all, the shrimp dumplings tasted so bad and unfresh with fishy tastes no one ate it. The quality was hideous. This is the feedback of 5 of us. The fish was slimy and mushy. The only thing we genuinely liked from 20 dishes was the fried wontons and the sweet and sour chicken.”

“We had gone for the dim sum (all you can eat) lunch. As always the food was delicious. Started with a platter of fried starters like spring rolls, fish fingers, wontons etc. Then there was a choice of either sweet corn or hot and sour soup. Followed by fresh, steaming hot dumplings, steamed buns, etc as per your choice. You can keep ordering more as and when you want. You are served soft drinks, water or iced tea. My favourite here is the peach iced tea. Dumplings are followed by main course in which we ordered garlic fried rice, chowmein, ginger fish, sweet and sour chicken and stir fried Chinese vegetables. All the dishes were hot and tasty but the veggies were so good that we ordered again. The last course was the dessert. We ordered the sagoo with coconut cream, mango pudding and the fried bananas. Overall it was a very delicious lunch. This was not our first time. We are regular dim sum eaters at China Club and always enjoy. The staff is very helpful and courteous.”

  31. Peking duck Net 0

    Mixed feedback

  32. Coconut caramel Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“For dessert we had coconut caramel which was just ok & the banana fritter was awful with a hard coating & horrible sugar syrup.”
  33. Yum cha brunch Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“Chinese restaurant with a yum cha brunch on the weekends (Friday and Saturday lunch) where you get to sample a selection of steamed and deep fried dim sum dishes, some main courses and desserts and the package also includes some drinks. The food is ok, and the all-inclusive deal is pretty good for an all you can eat package. However, if you're a dim sum afficionado, there are other Cantonese restaurants offering better Cantonese cuisine including yum cha brunches with quality and taste closer to what you would expect from Cantonese run or Hong Kong standards.”

The Bottom Line

China Club is a Chinese restaurant in Al Rigga, located in the Radisson Blu Hotel. It is especially worth considering for Peking duck and weekend yum cha, where diners can order unlimited dishes; the reviews also point to an Indo-Chinese Hakka set menu for something less typical. The strongest reports are specific: one diner called the duck the best they had in Dubai, while another praised crispy skin that was not too oily.

Yum cha packages have included generous portions, hot-to-order dumplings, mains, desserts and drinks, with a 179 AED example for 30+ varieties. A private room has also worked well for birthday and client dinners. The setting is generally spacious, clean and quiet—sometimes so quiet that Sunday lunch felt empty.

That suits an unhurried dinner, but not anyone looking for a lively room. Service is often described as attentive and accommodating, including allergy-related dish customisation, though there are also reports of very late orders. Food quality is not completely consistent.

Some guests found the dim sum skins too thick, old-tasting dumplings or dry Peking duck, and the restaurant no longer uses a dim sum trolley. Ask how spicy dishes are prepared, check the current yum cha offer before booking, and consider voucher eligibility; one review specifically mentioned an Entertainer voucher.
