  1. Pilov prazdnichniy Net +4
“Came in for the Pilov Prazdnichniy and had no idea what to expect from traditional Uzbek rice the slightly firm texture caught me off guard at first. A few more bites in and I completely understood. The flavors are incredibly deep and aromatic, and the meat was melt in your mouth tender. What started as confusion turned into one of the most satisfying dishes I've had in Dubai. A dish that rewards patience highly recommend”

Food 9

  1. Beef samosa Net −1
“One dish that did not meat our expectations, however, was the beef samosa, it was too different then our usual palate.”
  2. Dolma Net −1
“-dolma ; the vine leaves were a bit dry to my liking I would prefer it to have more vine oil to it as well as the rice inside to be more cooked and seasoned , I don’t like the addition of lamb to it as it gave the whole dolma a bit of a gamey flavor I rate the dolma 1/10”
  3. Fried chuchvara Net −1
“I have ordered a delivery, soup with noodles and fried chuchvara. The order arrived in unedible condition. The containers were soaked, with lid literally fallen in the soup. The whole bag was wet of spills and damaged.”
  4. Hanum Net −1
“Hanum though - could have been more flavorful and dough could be little leas steamed, because it was almost smudgy and sticky - and tomato sauce could have been richer.”
  5. Kazan kabab Net −1
“-Kazan kabab; at first taste it tastes okay not too great , as I kept going I hated it more and more it wasn’t well seasoned to my liking and it was too gamey for me as well . It prefer it if it was more seasoned . I don’t like the side of potato it was a sliced potato but it had a bit of a hash brown texture.”
  6. Kofta Net −1
“The flavor profile of the food was disappointing, with bland flavors and a lack of authenticity. Even the highly recommended Kofta dish failed to impress.”

  8. Potato samsa Net −1
“Beef Samsa was real delicious and juicy with onions and cumin kick flavor as usual but can not say the same about Potato Samsa. Dough was great on both of them though.”
  9. Soup with noodles Net −1
“I have ordered a delivery, soup with noodles and fried chuchvara. The order arrived in unedible condition. The containers were soaked, with lid literally fallen in the soup. The whole bag was wet of spills and damaged.”

Common Concerns

Showing 2 of 5

Uneven Service

Service is praised by some diners but described by others as slow, inconsistent and in need of more training.

Variable Dishes

Not every dish lands equally: reviews mention bland flavours, greasy rice dishes and disappointment with some plov and samsa.

The Bottom Line

Chinor DXB gives you a focused Uzbek dining experience, with plov, kebabs, samsa and manti at the centre of the menu. The Pilov Prazdnichniy is a frequent favourite, praised for aromatic flavour and tender meat, while beef samsa and the fresh bread also earn specific approval. Several diners describe the food as authentic, home-style and fairly priced.

The setting is a major part of the appeal. Traditional patterns, warm lighting and Uzbek-inspired décor create a calm, welcoming room, and live music on traditional instruments adds atmosphere without making the restaurant feel like a show venue. Reviews also mention views towards Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Hotel.

Families, casual groups and iftar gatherings are well represented in the feedback. There are a few reasons to manage expectations. Service can be excellent but has also been called slow or inconsistent, especially at busy times, and a small number of diners found particular dishes bland, greasy or too gamey.

Portions may not always feel generous. Parking is reported as limited to two hours, and delivery packaging has received a serious complaint. For a first visit, sharing several dishes is sensible, and ask about the plov’s firmer rice texture before ordering if that style is unfamiliar.
