Food 7

  1. Briyani Net −1
“The staff is really nice, but the food is absolutely horrible. The worst Indian food I’ve ever had. The mutton was horrible. The nihari was not even nihari. It was just curry and Briyani didn’t have any taste.”
  2. Chapattis Net −1
“Bought two chapattis but when opened at home... Found them micro size. Each chapatti is 3dhs.”
  3. Chicken biriyani Net −1
“Tried chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani. Masala was loaded with salt.”
  4. Chicken biryani Net −1
“We ordered a chicken biryani just because of the big name of restaurant, But unfortunately it was our first and last visit to them, Even a small Malabari restaurants biryani tests better than this as you can see the quality and so many bones in one biryani plate, Such a test less 😐😐😶”
  5. Mix veg biryani Net −1
“We ordered garlic naan, mix veg curry, mix veg biryani. Chilli chicken. Chicken was taste less, veg biryani I was surprised to see they just added veg curry in the dish and topped with rice.”
  6. Mutton biriyani Net −1
“Tried chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani. Masala was loaded with salt.”
  7. Mutton biryani Net −1
“visited today and ordered the mutton biryani, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. There was no flavor you wouldn’t even recognize it as biryani. It tasted more like plain rice mixed with mutton curry, and honestly, even a proper mutton curry would have been better than this. Another major issue was the meat quality. The dish was full of very small bones, which made it difficult and unpleasant to eat. At one point, even bit into a sharp piece that hurt my tongue. That’s not something anyone expects from a biryani. I wouldn’t recommend the mutton biryani here.”

The Bottom Line

Delhi Darbar Barsha is a Mumbai-inspired Indian restaurant in Al Barsha where you can order biryani, North Indian curries, tandoori dishes and street-food-style plates. The most useful review-backed starting points are butter chicken with garlic naan, tawa chicken, mutton keema and nihari with roomali roti. The menu also reaches into Mumbai snacks and desserts, including panipuri, chaat and falooda.

The strongest feedback is about richly seasoned gravies and mutton dishes. One review describes tawa chicken arriving sizzling with a thick masala gravy, while another calls the mutton dishes consistently excellent. The setting is described as cozy, modern and somewhat private, with reviews mentioning family meals, generous portions and quick service.

A mix grill with garlic naan was considered suitable for two people. Biryani is more of a gamble. Some customers call it delicious, but others report bland rice, curry mixed into vegetable biryani, excess salt and small bones in mutton biryani.

Value is also debated, with complaints about small breads and prices that feel high for casual dining. Navigation can be awkward because the restaurant is partly hidden, although one review mentions private customer parking. Order lacha paratha ahead if you want it, as it may take longer.
