Check stock. Check that the items you need are available before visiting; one review says the selection was not complete.
Verify orders. Before accepting delivery, compare numbers and sizes with your order and packing slip, especially for screws.
Allow time. Build extra time into a collection or delivery plan: one customer waited two hours after payment.
Avoid busy periods. If your schedule is tight, consider visiting outside busy periods because reviews mention breaks, lunch and customers waiting.

The Bottom Line
Gemini Building Materials is a building-materials supplier in Al Quoz that is particularly relevant for gypsum work. Reviews mention gypsum ceiling and partition solutions, plasterboard and profiles, and a wider selection of construction and decoration materials. That makes it a practical stop when you are sourcing components rather than looking for a single specialist item.
Gypsum boards and partition-related products are the clearest recurring strength. Customers have also described the materials as high quality, branded and reasonably priced. One review says the shop carries gypsum boards and other construction items at prices that compare well with nearby alternatives, although another advises checking availability because the range may not always be complete.
Service is less consistent. Some customers report friendly, helpful assistance, including a case where an electrical item was tested and repaired with a new fuse. But repeated complaints mention staff being unavailable or occupied while customers wait, along with slow loading and deliveries.
One customer waited two hours after payment, while another received screws in the wrong numbers and sizes and could not get an immediate corrective delivery. Check stock before travelling, verify quantities and sizes against your order, and allow extra time for collection. The loading area has also been described as narrow.
