Plan Parking. Allow extra time to park and walk, as parking near the shop is repeatedly described as difficult.
Check Grades. Before paying, match every book against the school and grade list; one customer received the wrong Grade 3 book.
Check Deliveries. If ordering online, confirm the full set and delivery timing before relying on it; one review reported a week-long delay and missing books.
Confirm Returns. Ask about the return or exchange process before buying, especially for online orders, since one review says returns required visiting an outlet.

The Bottom Line
Goyals Books and Beyond in Bur Dubai is mainly a school-book shop rather than a general reading bookstore. Customers mention CBSE textbooks, GEMS school books, Grade 12 question banks, lab record books and notebooks, so it is a practical stop when you need curriculum-specific material or school stationery in one place. One review also says the shop can source difficult-to-find titles.
Price is a draw for some shoppers: reviews describe books as cheaper than buying from school, and one customer called the shop economical. Another review, however, disputed the value of a Grade 1 set, so compare the bill and printed MRPs rather than assuming every item is a bargain. The shop is also described as tidy, with books in good condition.
The main caution is reliability around communication and fulfilment. Several customers report unanswered calls, missing stock, delayed deliveries, incorrect grade books and slow refunds. Check the exact school, grade and book list before paying, and confirm whether a requested title is physically available.
Reaching the shop and parking can be awkward, while the school-term rush brings long queues and fewer choices; visiting early and allowing time to park and walk should make the trip easier.
