Food 7

  1. Bhel puri Net −1
“Don’t know what happened to this restaurent. The food was so tasteless and bland… had ordered bhel puri , papdi chat and chole bhature thinking the next dish would be better … surprisingly everything was worse … we used to have food from here and had always loved it but this time it was completely different .”
  2. Chole bhature Net −1
“Don’t know what happened to this restaurent. The food was so tasteless and bland… had ordered bhel puri , papdi chat and chole bhature thinking the next dish would be better … surprisingly everything was worse … we used to have food from here and had always loved it but this time it was completely different .”
  3. Hydrabadi dum mutton biriyani Net −1
“Very bad experience. I order Hydrabadi Dum mutton Biriyani and the rice was very hard and dry and the biriyani was full of only masala and the mutton did not have any taste.”
  4. Lemon coriander soup Net −1
“This place spoiled my mood, I ordered an lemon coriander soup which was so bad in taste and smell. Chicken was almost raw just name sake boiled, water with some cornstarch, salt, no taste of lemon at all and coriander which has not let its flavor in soup. It was so dull that i canceled my other orders and went to other nearby restaurant.”
  5. Mutton biryani Net −1
“For two people, the food bill was around 150 AED, which is quite expensive for an average taste. I expected the Mutton biryani to be exceptional, but it was just alright —similar to what you’d find at other places. The biryani rice was abit overcooked and soggy.”
  6. Papdi chat Net −1
“Don’t know what happened to this restaurent. The food was so tasteless and bland… had ordered bhel puri , papdi chat and chole bhature thinking the next dish would be better … surprisingly everything was worse … we used to have food from here and had always loved it but this time it was completely different .”
  7. Prawn biryani Net −1
“Have been a regular customer at Kabila for quite some time, especially for your prawn biryani! However, what a disappointment with the quality of the biryani I picked up yesterday after a long gap. Had specifically requested the biryani to be spicy, but what I received was completely the opposite. It wasn’t spicy at all—more like pieces of prawns in plain rice. The taste was absolutely pathetic, and it was not even remotely close to the standard! In fact, it was so unappetizing that we couldn’t bring ourselves to finish it that too after paying 50 bucks for each biryani.”

Tips for a Better Visit

1

Ask Spice. If you are dining with children or prefer milder food, ask about spice customisation; one family says it was adjusted for kids.

2

Choose Outdoors. For the fuller evening experience, request outdoor seating when available: a reviewer specifically enjoyed old Hindi songs there.

The Bottom Line

House of Kabila in Arabian Ranches is a Mughlai and North Indian restaurant where you can sit down for biryani, kebabs and vegetarian dishes, or order delivery. The most specifically praised plates include veg dum biryani, paneer lababdar, Thai green curry and mutton seekh. There is also live music, with old Hindi songs mentioned as a highlight of outdoor meals.

The setting is a real part of the experience. Reviews describe attractive interiors, indoor and outdoor dining, live singing and even games that kept a three-year-old entertained. Families may also appreciate that spice levels can be adjusted for children.

Delivery feedback includes hot, on-time food and consistently good packaging, although another customer waited 50 minutes and received chicken biryani instead of mutton. Quality is not completely consistent. Recent complaints describe bland food, missing salt and disappointing biryani, including soggy rice or hard, dry rice with heavy masala.

Price is another consideration: one diner reported around 150 AED for two people and felt it was expensive for the taste, while another called the dishes overpriced. Ask about spice levels, check takeaway orders carefully and consider the Smiles app for offers.
