Food 4

  1. Tom yum soup Net +5
“The food was delicious and the Hotpot buffet was great. The "Tomyum" is a must to try.”
  2. Chicken rice Net +4
“The self server hotpot section was nothing special. BUT there is a selection of chicken rice and noodles to order from included in the package. And it was really good value.”
  3. Thai hot pot Net +4
“Just had the most amazing culinary adventure exploring the sizzling Thai flavours at an authentic Thai Hot Pot Buffet spot.”
  4. Beef noodles Net +2
“Last week, I ordered the beef noodles and it was incredibly scrumptious — the broth was so insanely flavourful, the noodles light and fresh, meat that fell apart on my tongue and the kind of rich quality that left me speechless. The quantity was also perfect and I was worried whether the broth would suffice but there was plenty. Genuinely made me tear up from the taste and I have just ordered yet again the same item even though I want to try everything else but I can't stop thinking about the beef noodles!”

The owner advises the chicken used is Grade A.”

    Only neutral feedback

“Here’s what we settled for- ‘Thai Steamed Dumplings’ 🥟: these dumplings looked so pretty and I love how it was draped, had a nice aesthetic feel to it. These steamed rice dumplings were filled with coconut, crushed peanuts and minced chicken then topped with thai fried coconut and sweetened coconut milk as sauce 🥥 (packed separately) . I was expecting it to be savoury but it actually turned out to be sweet 🥲, we weren’t a fan of the filling per se as we have never tried sweetened chicken but please note this is just our preference nothing wrong with the dish. But we did love the dumpling skin though, it was so yummy- loved the texture.”

What to Avoid (1)

Drinks 1

  1. Butterfly pea tea Net −1
“The butterfly pea tea had an interesting spiced flavour - very unique, albeit a little too sweet for me, though maybe suitable for the Thai/Arabic palate or those with a sweet tooth. A choice of sugar level would be great.”

The Bottom Line

Jan’s Noodles Restaurant is a Thai spot in Al Muteena where you can choose between à la carte dishes and an all-you-can-eat format. The hot pot buffet is the main draw for some diners, with seafood, meat, vegetables and noodles to cook in broth. For a focused meal, the beef noodles, Pad Thai, Tom Yum and Hainanese chicken are the more useful starting points.

The strongest feedback is about flavour and portions. One diner became so attached to the beef noodles that they reordered the same dish, while others singled out the balanced Pad Thai, generous seafood noodle portions and tender Hainanese chicken. Coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice are popular finishes, although they are not consistently included in buffet packages.

Value is mixed. Some guests found AED 89 or AED 99 buffets satisfying, while others felt the selection was limited for the price or included too many processed items. Service is often described as warm and attentive, but one visit reported poor handling of a salty dish and an incorrect water charge.

Parking outside is limited, and a review questioned the 24-hour claim after a 3am–10am closure, so check before a late-night visit.
