What to Eat at KFC How we choose these items We use AI to find praise and criticism of specific foods and drinks in a selection of Google reviews. For KFC, this list is based on 50 reviews, not every review of the restaurant. The score is positive reviews minus negative reviews. For example, two positive reviews and one negative review give +1. Each review counts once per item; neutral comments do not change the score. A zero score is not a positive recommendation. “Only neutral feedback” means there are no positive or negative votes. “Mixed feedback” means equal numbers of positive and negative votes. The quotes are examples of what people said, not every comment we counted. We use different reviews where we can. We normally show up to 10 foods and 5 drinks with non-negative scores. Items with the same score stay together. If a tied group would go past the limit, that group and the lower non-negative scores go into Honorable mentions. If an overflowing positive top tie would leave the list empty, we show up to 10 items from that tie and keep the rest in Honorable mentions. Foods and drinks with a negative score are under What to Avoid. Use this as a guide to what reviewers liked, not a guarantee that you will like it too.

Tips for a Better Visit
Check Orders. Check bags before leaving or accepting delivery, especially for spicy fries and missing items.
Avoid Rush. For delivery, allow much more time than the estimate; one customer waited nearly two hours for a single meal.
Try Takeaway. Takeaway may be more predictable than delivery when you are hungry, given repeated reports of late arrivals and cold food.
Check Tables. If dining in, check the table and surrounding area before settling in, as one review found oil stains and bones.
Allow Time. Even with no visible queue, allow extra time for counter service; one visitor waited 20 minutes.
Find Parking. Parking is inside the building but may not be clearly marked for visitors, so look carefully for the visitor area.

Common Concerns
Slow Delivery
Delivery complaints are recurring, ranging from around 90 minutes to almost two hours, with some orders arriving cold.
Order Errors
Reviews report missing items and substitutions, including plain fries sent instead of paid-for spicy fries.
Food Inconsistency
Not every order arrives fresh: one review describes dry, overcooked and burnt chicken with cold fries.
Poor Cleanliness
One dine-in review found oil stains, bones and dirty tables, while another mentioned trash and sauce smeared across tables.
Limited Seating
Indoor seating is described as limited, so larger groups may find the dine-in area restrictive.

The Bottom Line
KFC in Motor City is a straightforward stop for fried chicken, combo meals, sides and takeaway. The reviews most often point to hot, fresh, crunchy chicken, with the Loaded Twister, spicy chicken, family bucket and spicy bites all receiving specific praise. When the branch is running well, counter service can be quick and welcoming, and some visitors describe their orders as warm and fresh even late at night.
The main caution is consistency. Delivery is the biggest weak spot: customers report waits of 90 minutes to nearly two hours, cold food, unupdated order statuses and replacements that still arrived late. Order accuracy also needs checking, with missing pieces and plain fries sent instead of ordered spicy fries mentioned more than once.
Dine-in conditions are mixed too; one review found oil stains, bones and dirty tables, while another noted limited indoor seating, although outdoor seating is available. For a first visit, takeaway or eating soon after collection may be less frustrating than relying on delivery. Check every bag before leaving, especially when ordering customised or spicy items, and allow extra time at the counter during busy periods.
