Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 4
1

Request Mild. If you prefer gentler heat, ask for less spicy; one reviewer specifically advised doing so.

2

Try Biryani. Consider the clay-pot biryani, especially the chicken tikka version; reviews describe tender boneless chicken and fragrant rice.

The Bottom Line

Kulcha King in Jumeirah Lake Towers is built around stuffed Indian kulchas, but the menu goes well beyond them. First-time diners could start with aloo or potato kulcha served with chole and chutneys, then consider the clay-pot chicken tikka biryani, which one review describes as fragrant, tender and not overly spiced. Chole bhature and dal makhni also have strong review support.

There is plenty for groups: reviewers mention vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis, sharing meals, kebabs, curries and indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is colourful and rooted in Indian dining, though one recent diner found the atmosphere noisy. Mango lassi is a recurring favourite, described as thick, creamy and refreshing.

Quality is not completely consistent. Several older reviews praise crisp, well-filled kulchas, while two 2026 visits found them dry, average or noticeably smaller than before. A breakfast complaint included bland omelettes, cold first servings and a stained cup.

Delivery has its own caution: one Careem order arrived with raita spilled through the bag. Ask for less spice if needed, check social media for current deals, and note that a reviewer reported RTA parking at AED 2 per hour.
