“Maybel provided fantastic service, and the food is one of the best we’ve had in Dubai.. Big portions like the poke bowl, and the carrot and ginger puree is heavenly. They gave out complimentary desserts and a special gift too.”
  24. Poke bowl l'occitane Net +1
“1. Poke bowl l'occitane. At 72 dhs, this is at a premium. But each of the items are freshly plucked and superbly prepared. You can feel the softness of the salmon and the large prawns , raw natural taste. It also had quinoa, mango cubes- which added the balance, green beans and some green leaves. I was mesmerized by the super awesome Avocado. The addition of ginger stem slices and slightly pickled cucumber type vegetables were enjoyable, but in my opinion- their amounts should be reduced because nobody can eat that much of that taste. Rather the other parts should be increased. Pomegranate seeds were nice too. 4.5/5.”

The Bottom Line

L’Occitane Café City Walk is a French-inspired café and restaurant in Al Wasl where you can eat, enjoy coffee or dessert, and browse the brand’s skincare products in the connected retail space. Breakfast is a major draw, with reviews mentioning French breakfast, shakshuka, pancakes and Eggs Benedict. For lunch or dinner, the Lobster Benedict, Beef Brisket Gnocchi and Gnocchi Daube are among the more distinctive orders.

The setting is bright, calm and greenery-filled, with yellow Provençal touches and a subtle connection to L’Occitane’s beauty identity. It works well for a quiet coffee, relaxed brunch or a birthday meal, and several diners praised attentive, welcoming service. The chocolate éclair, mille-feuille, French toast and cream of mushroom soup give dessert and lighter visits plenty of appeal.

Mocktails are another recurring highlight, particularly for their presentation. There are a few things to keep in mind. The City Walk layout is open rather than fully enclosed, so passers-by may be visible.

Pricing can feel steep: one review reported 32 dhs for bottled water, and another called the soft drinks expensive. Service and food were also criticised during one Ramadan visit, so check the current menu and offers before going. Monday breakfast discounts have been reported, but should be confirmed first.
