The Good Stuff
Targeted pressure
Therapists are praised for applying the right pressure and releasing muscle tension rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Back-pain relief
A deep tissue session after a long workday helped one customer’s back pain, while another said Thai massage reduced back pain efficiently.
Clean setup
Reviews describe clean equipment, towels and clothing, with one JVC customer noting that the team brought professional equipment and arrived on time.
Couples sessions
Couples massage is available at home; one review booked it for an anniversary and called it a perfect gift for their partner.
Sports therapy
Sports therapy is mentioned with hot stone treatment and cupping, giving visitors options beyond standard relaxation massage.
Tips for a Better Visit
Choose treatment. If back pain is your priority, ask about deep tissue: one customer said it helped after a long workday.
Add heat. Ask whether hot stone treatment can be included; reviews describe it as a soothing finish to sports and back-focused massage.
Book couples. For an at-home anniversary plan, consider the couples massage, which one reviewer booked as a gift for their partner.
Confirm refund terms. Before paying, clarify refund arrangements in writing, since one customer reported being promised 200 AED and then ignored.
Check setup. If uninterrupted treatment matters to you, confirm the therapist will avoid phone use; one reviewer complained about calls during the massage.

The Bottom Line
La Mer Home Massage and Spa brings massage treatments to customers’ homes in Jumeirah Village Circle. The reviews most clearly support Thai massage, deep tissue massage, sports therapy and hot stone treatment. That makes it worth considering if convenience matters, especially after work or when back and muscle tension are the main concern.
The strongest pattern is professional, punctual service. Several customers booked repeatedly and described consistent therapists, easy booking and clean equipment. One deep tissue customer said the treatment focused on problem areas, while another said it helped back pain after a long workday.
Thai massage is also repeatedly described as skilled, with one customer saying it reduced back pain efficiently. There are useful options for different occasions. Foot massage received specific praise, and couples massage was booked for an anniversary at home.
Reviewers also mention therapists bringing the equipment, towels and oils needed for a spa-style setup, so you do not need to travel or prepare much beyond the treatment space. The feedback is not completely uniform. One customer reported phone use during the massage, and another described a disputed 200 AED refund after an unpleasant session.
Confirm the treatment, expected setup and refund terms before paying, and request an uninterrupted session if that matters to you.
