The Bottom Line

Le Jardin is an all-day restaurant in Jumeirah where you can book à la carte dining, brunch, dinner buffets or Ramadan iftar. The strongest evidence is around buffet occasions: guests have praised the salad and starter station, live grilling, roast beef, tiger prawns and broad iftar spreads. Breakfast also has some clear favourites, including Eggs Benedict, French toast, avocado toast and shakshouka.

The setting is a major part of the appeal. Reviews describe an elegant interior and a beautiful outdoor area, with live music adding atmosphere at brunches and iftars. The restaurant can suit families too; one Easter brunch review mentioned children enjoying the organised activities.

Quality is not consistent, however. Some diners found the food excellent and fresh, while others reported cold, tough meat, cheap-tasting fruit and cheese, disappointing desserts or too little variety at the main-course station. Service also ranges from attentive to slow and disorganised.

During one iftar, guests struggled to get cutlery, water and tissues, and another party was placed in the smoking area despite having pregnant guests. Ask about drink charges and seating before booking. A buffet was reported at 295aed, so check the current offer and inclusions; one guest used Entertainer.

Breakfast is reportedly busiest, making an early arrival worthwhile.
