Tips for a Better Visit
Check hours. Confirm Sunday opening hours before travelling; one reviewer arrived at 10am and found the store closed.
Ask warranty. Before buying balls or equipment, ask about warranty and returns, since one volleyball was damaged after three games.
Inspect items. Check equipment carefully before purchase, as one reviewer said two of three bought items stopped working the next day.
Try price matching. For an online-only item, ask whether the store can match the price, as it did for one squash racket.
Use parking. If you are collecting bulky gym equipment, the review notes parking directly in front of the store.
Confirm by phone. If you are seeking specialist gear such as taekwondo equipment, confirm availability in advance but allow for uneven phone service.

The Bottom Line
Leader Sport in Deira is a broad sports-and-fitness retailer, useful when you want to compare several types of gear in one visit. Reviews mention gym equipment and sports accessories, as well as sportswear such as running shoes and track suits. Shirt printing is another practical service noted by customers.
The store’s main draw is choice: reviewers describe it as a one-stop shop with options across many sports, and several mention reasonable prices or deals. One customer also says the team price-matched a squash racket that was available only online elsewhere. Parking in front of the store is a helpful detail, especially if you are collecting larger equipment.
Quality and service are less consistent. One pair of goggles broke on first use, another volleyball was damaged after three games, and a separate reviewer reported two of three purchased items out of order the next day. Ask about warranty, returns and condition before paying.
It is also worth confirming opening hours before a Sunday visit: one customer arrived at 10am to find the store closed. Phone support has drawn criticism too, particularly from someone enquiring about taekwondo gear, so specialist items are best confirmed carefully.
