Food 5

  1. Bulgogi combo Net −1
“So I chose a meal with bulgogi combo. As I'm an asian and love korean restaurants, I looked for the green kind of tea that every korean restaurants serve, but it was not there.”
  2. Cheese corn dog Net −1
“(1) Paid 78AED for a cheese corn dog and a medium chocolate bubble tea. This is my first try of this restaurant and my mistake to think that the 45AED price of corndog is for 3pcs. since the menu photos shows 3pcs; and for that price, you may get 3pcs. from other restaurants. If I only paid more attention, I wouldn't order that. 45AED is too much for one small corn dog! (2) My order arrived 15 minutes late (From JLT branch to Barsha Heights only). (3) Came in poor packaging. The corn dog was packed in a 40cm x 40cm paper bag! (4) Taste is mediocre, nothing special. OVERALL: Really disappointed. Not worth the wait and money spent. Won't dine or order delivery again.”
  3. Chickens and rice Net −1
“I ordered Chickens and Rice on Talabat. The Korean Fried Chicken arrived warm, but it looks old and dry.”
  4. Corn dog Net −1
“The fried chicken and corn dog were poorly coated and did not even taste like chicken.”
  5. Korean fried chicken Net −1
“The Korean Fried Chicken arrived warm, but it looks old and dry. On image 3 is the inside of the meat, it seems dark and old; doesn’t seem very fresh. When u bite into it, it’s not even crunchy but felt like dry cardboard.”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 5
1

Ask First. If traditional Korean cooking is important to you, ask about the restaurant’s style before ordering; reviews disagree on authenticity.

2

Finish Orders. Order cautiously and finish what you take, as one review warns of a 40 AED leftovers charge for even a small amount.

The Bottom Line

Mashisoyo is a compact Korean restaurant in Jumeirah Lake Towers where you can dine in, order takeaway or try Korean BBQ. Bulgogi is the safest starting point: reviewers mention tender-tasting, well-flavoured servings, generous portions, rice and complimentary kimchi, bean sprouts and salad. Kimbap, ramen with egg, tteokbokki and street food also appear in the reviews, while the menu has an unusual Mexican side, including tacos, quesadillas and loaded fries.

The setting is small, quiet and comfortable rather than spacious. Service is often described as warm and quick, with one lunch customer receiving bulgogi in under 20 minutes. Korean BBQ promotions and an unlimited menu have attracted repeat visits, but value is not consistent: one diner felt AED 140 was too much for the portion and space, and another found the menu expensive.

There are two important caveats. Several diners enjoyed the food and called it authentic, while others said it did not taste traditionally Korean, so this may suit casual Korean-food cravings more than a strict authenticity hunt. Also confirm the spice level and leftover policy before ordering; reviews mention very spicy soup despite a no-spicy request and a reported 40 AED leftovers charge.

Delivery has also had a serious delay reported, so takeaway or dining in may be the safer choice when timing matters.
