Food 2

  1. Apple pie Net −1
“This is the most unorganised McDs I've been to. Waited for 10 minutes for an apple pie which has been sitting in front of the servers for 8 minutes while they've been yelling out all sorts of other numbers (trying to yell louder than the noise and radio music playing) and screen displaying a completely different lotto numbers game. All in all, it felt like a Delhi train station departure experience. Never got the pie as 10mins later, it was cold and not serve-able anymore. Waiting time for next pie would be another 5mins (for whatever reason). I walked out.... Keep the 7AED... First world Karen problems, but still an abysmal performance nevertheless.”
  2. Wrap Net −1
“Cold and almost empty wrap i have ever had.. One star goes to the lovely staff you have there, food though is not as lovely..”

Drinks 1

  1. Latte Net −1
“Sorry, but coffee latte here is not tasty.”

The Bottom Line

McDonald's on Bluewaters Island is a practical stop for familiar fast food while you are exploring the area. Reviews specifically mention the Big Mac, hot crispy fries, Happy Meals, ice cream and coffee, while self-service kiosks make ordering and customising a meal straightforward. It is also described as a cost-effective choice compared with other food around Bluewaters.

The setting is a major part of the appeal. Customers mention a clean, well-maintained interior, outdoor benches and a lively location with plenty of foot traffic. Alfresco seating sounds especially appealing in winter or during an evening walk, although indoor air-conditioned space and seating can feel limited.

The restaurant may become crowded at peak times, and one group waited 5 to 10 minutes for a table. Service is often friendly and efficient, including a large order for seven people prepared quickly and brought to the table. Still, the experience is not perfectly consistent: reviews report a nearly 30-minute wait for a delivery pickup, missed kiosk items, cold wraps and soggy fries.

Check your order before leaving, and confirm closing hours if visiting late, since one reviewer found the branch closed earlier than the app indicated. Drivers can also ask about Bluewaters parking validation.
