Food 5

  1. Fish and chips Net −1
“Not the best of fish and chips I've had to be honest.”
  2. Mix grilled seafood platter Net −1
“They delivered very small fish with 3 pieces shrimp for mix grilled seafood PLATTER and for seafood bucket they put 1 very small crab, 2 uncooked corn and the rest was all shells like you literally cannot eat anything.”
  3. Salmon meal Net −1
“I ordered a BOGO salmon meal from them via Smiles today at 11:53 AM. It was supposed to be two salmon dishes with one side each. Delivery came at 1:05 pm with one missing meal. I informed the driver and Smiles right away and I was told I'd get the missing item. At 2:47 pm, I received a whatsapp message from the restaurant saying that the meal is ready but they do not have a driver and they can't confirm what time they can deliver the item. A little after 4pm, I informed Smiles I don't want the item anymore because it is super late. At 5pm the restaurant messaged me asking for my location and I told them I don't want their food anymore because it's after 5 hours already. Food is bland. I had to add salt and lemon for it to even have a decent taste. If you plan on starving, go ahead and order from them. Extremely poor customer service. Doesn't even deserve a star 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️”
  4. Seafood bucket Net −1

  5. Spicy meat meal Net −1
“Staff is polite but food is not really tasty ,I ordered spicy meat meal and it was salty. Maybe their seafood is better but I Left disappointed today”

The Bottom Line

Mr. Fish is a seafood and Russian-Uzbek restaurant in Al Barsha, with reviews covering everything from grilled Hamour and prawn platters to plov rice and cheesecake. The strongest food feedback centres on fresh fish: one diner praised the charred grilled Hamour, crisp fried Hamour and juicy prawns, while others enjoyed baked sea bream, prawn tagine and large shrimp.

The setting is a comfortable part of the experience. Reviews describe a clean, tidy restaurant suitable for families, with a cheerful atmosphere and a talking parrot called Miko. Service is often described as friendly, attentive and quick, and the restaurant has hosted successful birthday meals.

Taro bubble tea is another less obvious order that received enthusiastic feedback. There is a clear split between dine-in and delivery experiences. Some diners found the food fresh, reasonably priced and worth returning for; others reported bland or refrigerated-tasting food, small seafood portions, messy packaging and poor value through Talabat, Noon or Smiles.

A missing-meal complaint also involved hours of delay. If ordering delivery, check the contents and packaging promptly. For dining in, consider Hamour or plov, and ask about salt if you prefer lighter seasoning.
