The Bottom Line
Muji in Jumeirah Beach Residence is a compact Japanese variety store for minimalist everyday goods. Clothing is the strongest reason to browse: customers mention cotton and linen basics, breathable lightweight pieces, logo-free designs, children’s clothes and good fabric quality. The branch also has a full stationery counter, personal-care and organisation items, crockery, home goods and assorted practical gadgets, though the selection is smaller than at some other Muji stores.
Prices are not universally viewed as cheap. Several shoppers call the quality good for the price, while others describe the clothing and stationery as pricey; sales can change the calculation, with reviews mentioning discounted clothes and a 40% special offer. One customer also reported an order for plastic drawers being cancelled after a promotional price ended, with the quoted amount changing from AED 500 to AED 680.
Staff are often described as friendly and helpful, but service has not been consistent for everyone. Check the invoice before leaving, and verify opening hours if visiting late, since one customer found the store closed before the Google-listed 11 pm time. For clothing, allow for a possible fitting-room wait: one review says there is only one change room.
Online delivery may also take weeks rather than days.
