  28. Donne biryani mutton Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“I been with my family today - ordered Donne Biryani mutton - What was my surprise was they charge good 40AED for this biryani - and mutton pieces only 2 we got and one small piece - I just asked how many pieces we get and they said 4 atleast - then I asked them n then waiter realised there is less pieces and separately to satisfy me he brought 2 more pieces - I liked his personal gesture but I felt as a restaurant is over priced and it’s a kind of cheat I felt - I was expecting they should have replaced whole biryani or something or some apology from manager etc anyways probably last visit”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 6
1

Visit Off-Peak. Go outside busy periods if possible: reviews say service moves slowly when more diners arrive and thali orders can be delayed.

2

Check Biryani. Ask which biryani is available before ordering; one visit had no Dum or Mysore biryani and only Andhra-style biryani.

Common Concerns

Showing 2 of 5

Slow Service

The dining room was reported as very hot, with a small cooler used instead of properly working air conditioning.

The Bottom Line

Mysore Palace Dubai brings Karnataka-focused South Indian cooking to the heart of Al Karama. Breakfast is a strong starting point: the Mysore masala dosa and benne masala dosa are repeatedly praised, while thatte idli, akki roti and ragi mudde give you more regional choices. The menu also reaches into meat dishes such as mutton donne biryani and chicken pepper fry.

The setting is part of the appeal. Reviewers mention intricate woodwork, a royal colour palette and an atmosphere that feels like a temple or palace, making it more distinctive than a basic dosa restaurant. Parking is reported directly in front, with additional RTA spaces behind.

There is a noticeable gap between the best and worst visits. Some diners describe fresh food, warm service and excellent consistency; others report bland or average dishes, reheated fried chicken, or a biryani with mostly bones. Puran Poli and ragi bread are useful less-obvious picks when available, and the filter coffee wins praise in one review but is criticised in another.

Service can be slow, especially when the restaurant is busy, and a few visits involved missed thali items. Air conditioning has also been unreliable, so check before dining in during hot weather. Prices are viewed by some customers as high for the area, including a reported AED 40 mutton donne biryani.
