  6. Egg and cheese wrap Net +1

  7. Falafel pitas Net +1
“I recently visited Operation Falafel and ordered 4 pieces of Falafel Pita, which cost me 12 AED each, totaling 48 AED. Shortly after placing the order, I noticed a special combo offer displayed at the counter: 2 Falafel Pitas with French fries and a drink for just 22 AED. Unfortunately, the staff did not inform me about this offer when I placed my order. When I requested to cancel the order and avail the combo instead, they refused, which was disappointing. It’s basic customer service to inform diners about ongoing promotions, especially when it's clearly displayed at the outlet. Moreover, there was a 20% cashback QR code on the billing counter for CASH BACK, but when I inquired about it, the staff had no idea how it worked. If promotions or cashback options are advertised, the team should be trained to assist customers accordingly. In summary: Great food, but customer service needs improvement. Staff should proactively inform customers about offers. Promotions like cashback should be clearly explained and supported by staff. I hope management addresses these concerns so future customers can enjoy both the food and service.”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 5

Check combos. Before paying, ask about displayed offers: one review found two mini sandwiches, fries and Pepsi for 22 dirhams.

2

Avoid salad. Be cautious with salad orders from the DFC Enoc branch; one customer specifically complained about unwashed vegetables.

Common Concerns

Delivery delays

Delivery reliability is a real concern: several orders were delayed for over an hour before cancellation.

Cramped seating

The dine-in area can feel cramped and chaotic when delivery riders crowd the space.

The Bottom Line

Operation Falafel at Dubai Festival City is a casual Middle Eastern street-food stop for shawarma, falafel, wraps and slider boxes. The strongest pattern in the reviews is flavour: chicken shawarma is called juicy and well seasoned, while falafel is praised for a crisp exterior and soft centre. Mixed beef-and-chicken sliders with hummus and fries also made a strong impression.

Service is often a highlight. Diners describe the team as welcoming, quick and helpful with menu suggestions, and several reviews mention a clean, well-maintained outlet. There are only a few seats, though, and one dine-in visit found the space cramped and crowded with delivery riders, so takeaway may be more comfortable at busy times.

Value is not completely consistent. A past deal of two mini sandwiches, fries and a Pepsi cost 22 dirhams, while another customer felt portions were too small for the price. Check current counter promotions before paying; a review says an advertised combo was not explained proactively.

Delivery deserves caution. Reviews report orders cancelled after waits of 90 minutes to nearly two hours, alongside occasional cold or incorrect items. For a first visit, eating in or collecting promptly may be less risky than relying on an app during a rush.

Desserts include the specifically recommended Oreo Cheescake Jar.
