The Bottom Line

Piatti by the Beach is a beachside Italian and Mediterranean restaurant in Jumeirah, inside Raffles The Palm Dubai. The main draw is the setting: terrace tables face the Palm, while the relaxed coastal atmosphere suits a long lunch, sunset drinks or a dinner that feels more occasion-led. Outdoor dining is especially appealing from November to March.

There is plenty to choose from without the menu becoming the whole story. Reviews particularly mention seafood pasta, lobster pasta, truffle pasta, pizza and fresh fish; the cannolo is another memorable dessert for some guests. Portions can be generous, and families have praised the kids menu, so sharing a few dishes may make sense when ordering for a group.

A buggy ride from the hotel lobby may also be available. The experience is not completely even. Many diners describe warm, attentive service, but others report being ignored, receiving a small wine pour or encountering an unhelpful response when something went wrong.

One review reported food poisoning, while another found the tiramisu frozen. Pricing is described as high, especially for drinks, and guests using Fazza or loyalty benefits should confirm acceptance before arriving. Booking is advisable for dinner.
