Tips for a Better Visit
Allow Time. Build extra time into your visit: a customer reported waiting at least half an hour even for a small order.
Check Loading. If collecting materials yourself, confirm the loading timing before arriving; one review describes loading as very late.
Inspect Wood. Inspect wood before accepting it and clarify the return process, especially for pieces that may hide internal cracks.
Verify Quantities. Check the wood’s measured quantity against the bill before payment or delivery.
Confirm Orders. Double-check the material specification at dispatch, since one customer received the wrong materials.
Ask About Banding. If ordering cut MDF, arrange edge banding separately because the store does not provide it.

The Bottom Line
Planet Eco Building Materials is a building materials store in Al Quoz, Dubai, worth considering when you want timber, sheet materials or hardware in one stop. The reviews specifically mention wooden sheets cut with the store’s saw, MDF plates cut to size, and a broad selection for construction and decoration projects. Wood is a major draw, but the range goes beyond it.
Customers mention red oak wood, gardening tools and garage tools, while another review says unavailable materials can sometimes be arranged within a day. Pricing is described as cost-effective, reasonable or competitive, and some customers appreciated help choosing materials and receiving samples. The main caution is time.
Small orders have reportedly taken at least half an hour, and larger orders, delivery and loading into a customer’s vehicle can be slow. Order accuracy and quality also deserve attention: reviews describe wrong materials being sent, a dispute over cheaper-quality supplies, and red oak that was found cracked internally after cutting. Check quantities and condition before accepting the goods, confirm the return process, and ask about edge banding if you need MDF finished beyond the cut.
