Tips for a Better Visit
Ask about wrapping. If the toy is a present, ask about gift wrapping; reviewers say it made birthday shopping quicker and easier.
Confirm pricing. Check the shelf tag and final price before paying, especially when buying multiple pieces.
Check contents. For battery-powered toys, confirm that the required battery is included before leaving the store.
Bring your brief. If you are choosing a gift, tell the sales team the child's age or occasion; one shopper received help selecting for a one-year-old.
Keep receipts. Make sure you receive the receipt at checkout, since one customer said change was handed over without one.

The Bottom Line
Play and Dream at City Center Deira is a practical stop in Port Saeed when you need a children's toy or a present but have not settled on one yet. Reviews describe a broad range from well-known brands, with Lego sets, Hot Wheels and premium toys drawing particular interest. Shoppers also mention finding gifts for birthdays, nephews, nieces and a one-year-old.
Gift shopping is one of the store's clearest strengths. Customers describe staff helping them compare options, explain products and choose something suitable, while gift wrapping has made several visits easier. One review also reports that a missing bicycle part was located in the warehouse and sent with a technician, which is useful evidence of responsive after-sales handling in that case.
There are some reasons to stay alert at checkout. A customer reported an item marked AED 15 being changed to AED 18 when several were taken, so confirm the displayed and final prices. 7V Li-Po battery missing from a transform robot, making it unusable.
Service also appears uneven: many reviews praise helpful assistance, but two customers reported rude or inattentive treatment. Check toy contents and keep your receipt before leaving.
