The Good Stuff

Quick turnarounds
Reported jobs included a Mackie mixer in two days, a Sony soundbar in three days and a Denon AVR in under 48 hours.
Clear updates
Several customers mention being kept informed, including during a Denon AVR repair involving cleaning and replacement parts.
Pickup service
Pickup and return can make the trip easier; one amplifier was collected from Jebel Ali and returned within a week.
Specialist range
Reviews cover repairs to soundbars, subwoofers, guitar pedals, studio interfaces and high-end home audio equipment.
Tips for a Better Visit
Confirm costs. Discuss the repair cost and approval process clearly before work starts, especially for lower-value equipment.
Ask the timeline. Vintage work can take time, so request an estimated completion date before leaving a classic tape recorder or similar item.
Consider pickup. If you are outside Dubai, ask about collection and delivery; one customer arranged pickup from Jebel Ali.
Request documentation. For a serviced cassette deck, ask for a work report and post-service measurements; one customer received both with safe shipping.
Get updates. For complex repairs, agree how often you will receive progress updates; customers have found regular communication useful.

The Bottom Line
Precision Audio is a home audio store and repair centre in Al Mamzar, with a strong focus on equipment that ordinary electronics shops may not want to handle. You can bring in vintage turntables, reel-to-reel machines, cassette decks and amplifiers, as well as newer AV receivers, soundbars and subwoofers. Reviews specifically mention a repaired LaserDisc player, a Denon AVR-4311 with a failed HDMI board and a Bose Acoustimass 15 subwoofer that another service route had written off.
The attraction for audiophiles is the breadth of older equipment on display and the team’s willingness to source parts and work through difficult faults. Customers have reported fast jobs too: a Mackie mixer took two days, a Sony soundbar three days and one Denon AVR was completed in under 48 hours. Pickup and delivery may also help if you are travelling from another emirate.
There is one important caution. A review describes a Focal Utopia headphone repair delayed for more than seven months, with disputed replacement drivers and poor replies to update requests. Another alleges that work began before approval of the quoted cost.
Get the price, parts, authorisation and expected timeline clearly agreed in writing before leaving valuable equipment. One customer paid 800 AED for a Focal Utopia headphone repair, but this is a historical customer-reported price, not a current rate.
