SAIC Dubai

The South African Islamic Centre (SAIC) is a non-profit organization established in 2002 and licensed by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department of Dubai (IACAD). Initially a Quran Centre in Satwa, it aimed to teach Quran to English-speaking communities. As Dubai expanded under the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, SAIC recognized the need to serve the growing communities in ‘New’ Dubai. Relocating to Al Barsha, SAIC saw increased demand for its services. In 2012, it was officially upgraded to a fully-fledged Islamic Centre, offering classes for children, adults, and reverts.
