Food 4

  1. Dates brioche Net −1
“Dates brioche is almost empty and overall a complete not value for money”
  2. Syrian burger Net −1
“We sat down to try their famous Syrian burger and oh my. The waiter was nice enough but for some reason they has this amazing bright idea to place the burger buns under the oven to heat it. Burger places usually toast the buns a bit but this place put the buns under the oven. What that did is made the bun super dry. Like ur eating a rock which ruined the whole experience.”

  4. Zaatar mashrooha Net −1
“Very over priced 18 dirhams for a zaatar mashrooha That is extremely ordinary and not even having anything special”

The Bottom Line

Sallora in Al Barsha is part Syrian restaurant, part bakery and sweets stop. You can come for a sit-down meal, pick up pastries and cakes, or focus on Arabic desserts. The dishes that receive the clearest praise include meat shawarma, Beiruti hummus, Syrian BBQ and cheese kunafa.

Mamounia with fresh cream is another distinctive breakfast suggestion. Breakfast is a major draw, especially at weekends. Reviews describe an open buffet with foul, halloumi, eggs, liver and fresh watermelon juice, while another visitor enjoyed hot falafel and mint tea.

A spacious dining area and small children’s machines make it workable for families, and several customers describe the prices as affordable or reasonable. The buffet details quoted in reviews are 8am to 12pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Hessa Street branch, for 39 dhs. There are a few reasons to check details before going.

One visitor found the restaurant closed after driving there, and parking has been described as consistently full. Food quality is not perfectly consistent either: reviews mention cold kabab and fries, dry pastries with scant filling, and a missing hummus item in one delivery. For a first visit, confirm opening hours, check delivery orders, and consider arriving early for the buffet or parking.
