The Bottom Line

Sangeetha Vegetarian Restaurant is a pure-vegetarian Indian restaurant in Port Saeed, with South Indian food at the centre of the menu and North Indian options alongside it. You can come for breakfast, lunch or dinner and choose from items such as mini tiffin, masala dosa, Special Chennai thali and filter coffee. The mini tiffin is repeatedly described as fresh and piping hot, while diners praise the crisp dosas, soft idlis, chutneys and substantial thalis.

The thalis are a strong choice when you want a filling meal rather than a single dish. One diner enjoyed a Special North Indian thali with roti, naan, vegetables, soup, gulab jamun and lassi; another reported paying 25 AED for a Veg Thali, though that is a customer-reported price rather than a current menu listing. Service is often described as quick, with one review citing 10 minutes, and the setting is generally considered clean and comfortable.

Parking nearby is also reported to be convenient. There are a few practical caveats. The entrance has two steps and a small ramp that is easy to miss, and one seating area can catch cold air from the frequently opened door.

A reviewer also reported hair in the upma, which staff replaced only as a portion. Most feedback is warm, but one lunchtime visit found the welcome less friendly.
