The Bottom Line

Sarhad Darbar is a Pakistani restaurant in Discovery Gardens built around straightforward, filling food at relatively low prices. Breakfast regulars mention haleem, keema, paya, roti and chai, while other reviews point to grilled mutton chops, chicken handi and Pakistani roti as worthwhile orders. A customer also describes it as a place where a busy meal can be finished in about 15 minutes.

The menu has some clear highlights, but consistency is the main question. White chicken handi, chicken white karai and paya receive enthusiastic praise, while other diners found the haleem disappointing and criticised the roti, mutton handi and chicken 65. Biryani attracts particularly serious complaints, including reports of cold or preserved rice and stomach pain, so it is worth checking freshness and availability before ordering.

This is an economical, often crowded restaurant rather than a polished dining room. Reviews mention poor-smelling washrooms, small or untidy hand-wash areas, dirty plates and even flies. Service feedback is similarly mixed, ranging from quick and friendly to rude, delayed or failed delivery orders.

15 per bowl, and one review says a filling meal can cost AED15. Card and cash are accepted.
