  4. Boiled khinkali Net +1
“Food-wise, in terms of taste, I can only recommend the boiled khinkali and Napoleon dessert. Credit where credit is due, these were both fantastic.”
  5. Cheese and egg pedi Net +1
“Some plates were outstanding, like their cheese and egg pedi. And some just did not deliver. Add to that, the wait time between courses was not correct. We were filled by the entries before we had a chase to experience the mains. It seamed a bit chaotic running the place and the meal took much longer than needed.”
  6. Chicken in cream sauce Net +1
“If you like georgian food its a good place to try. The food is nice not spectacular as its definitely not comparable to eating in Georgia which is one of my favourite cuisines. I guess they tried to make it as authentic with the ingredients available so kudos to them. We tried many dishes, what stood out was the chicken in cream sauce. Salad was good also. Service was overall not that great especially the reception. Our waiter Waseem was nice and welcoming though and perhaps tried to compensate for the unwelcoming host. Overall ill come back, perhaps it was just a bad day and definitely their intent wasnt to give us a bad experience. Go try them its a great change to the usual restaurants.”
  7. Chicken shashlik Net +1
“The chicken shashlik could have used a little more spice to really bring out its taste, but it was still enjoyable.”

“The eggplant roll was a bit on the oily side, but still carried a nice, rich flavor.”

The Bottom Line

Shvili DHM gives Dubai Hills Estate diners a Georgian-focused menu alongside Italian dishes in the same shared restaurant space. You can order familiar Georgian staples such as khinkali and khachapuri, try the tasting menu for two, or start with the Georgian breakfast. The tasting menu was praised as a good-value introduction by one reviewer who said it tasted like food they had enjoyed in Georgia.

Families have a real reason to consider it: there is a kids’ play area, a children’s menu, Little Chef activities and, in one review, face painting. The interior is described as cozy and welcoming, and some diners found it calm enough to work on a laptop. Staff are often commended for explaining unfamiliar dishes and handling mistakes thoughtfully, including replacing a dry beef dish without charge.

The main caution is value. Several diners found portions small and prices high; one reported a 52 AED dish arriving without the bread they expected from the menu image. Weekend demand can also slow service, with reviews mentioning waits, missing plates and crowded children’s facilities.

Visit on a weekday or reserve ahead, and clarify portion sizes and accompaniments before ordering. Dish quality is uneven, so tashmidjabi, khinkali and the blue-cheese-and-pear khachapuri are among the more specifically praised choices.
