Tips for a Better Visit
Check Prices. Compare a comic or Pop with eBay and collector price guides before paying; reviews repeatedly flag sizeable mark-ups.
Confirm Tags. If a comic has a marked price, confirm it at checkout before leaving or waiting to return; one tag changed from 30 to 40 AED.
Ask First. Ask whether the Vault is open and what its entry requirement is, since access was unavailable when the manager was absent.
Plan Grading. If submitting cards or comics for grading, confirm the expected timeline and communication process before handing them over.
Browse Quietly. A less busy visit can make browsing easier; one visitor enjoyed having time to compare the selection and decide what to buy.

The Bottom Line
Speedy Comics ME in Al Quoz is aimed at collectors and fans who want more than current-release comics. Reviews describe shelves of Marvel and DC issues, vintage and limited-edition comics, large Funko Pop selections, anime merchandise, manga, figures, and signed memorabilia. The rarest pieces are concentrated in the Vault, which visitors describe as holding valuable celebrity-signed comics and other unusual collectibles.
The shop is generally praised for friendly, helpful staff and an atmosphere that encourages browsing. There is also a cafe serving food and drinks; one visitor specifically liked its quiet setting. Event activity has included meets, comic-themed events, and vendor participation, so the experience can vary from a straightforward shopping trip to a community gathering.
Price is the main caution. Several collectors called the stock overpriced compared with eBay, Pop Price Guide, or nearby retailers. One review cites a Marvel Iron Spider 1142 Pop at 200 Dhs versus 85 Dhs next door, while another describes a comic tag changing from 30 to 40 AED.
Check current prices and labels before buying. If you want grading, clarify the timeline first: reviews report waits of nine months or more. Ask about Vault access too, as entry was not always available and one review mentions a 100 AED spending requirement.
