Some of my Kabayan friends told me this is a Franchise from the Philippines and the taste is authentic so I tried Pinoy beef Mami, which is tasty, more quantity of beef and noodles also more shredded cabbage and carrots, overall it is worth the price. The flavour is acceptable for other nationality unless if you want more salt you can add it with soy sauces. The staff service is really good and they are friendly.”

Tips for a Better Visit

1

Check Portions. If you are hungry, ask about the tapa serving size first; one diner found it small.

2

Check Doneness. For bangus delivery, check the centre before eating because one order arrived raw inside.

The Bottom Line

Tapa King is a Filipino restaurant in Deira where the main draw is familiar comfort food rather than an elaborate dining-room experience. Breakfast-style tapa with rice and egg, fried bangus, bulalo and sizzling dishes all appear in the reviews, with several diners saying the flavours brought them back to the Philippines. Desserts are a strong reason to add something extra.

The halo-halo received a memorable 10/10 mention, while another diner praised the creamy leche flan and also recommended saging con yelo and mais con yelo. Beef sinigang, bangus sisig and lumpia through the Royal Meal C are other specific favourites in the feedback. Service is often described as smiling, attentive and useful when choosing from the menu, and some meals were served hot within three to five minutes.

A reported 72aed promotion covered two beef tapa meals and one bulalo, though this should be treated as a past customer-reported deal, not a current price. Quality is not completely consistent. Reviews mention tough Kare-Kare beef, a dry Chicken Inasal, small tapa portions and bangus arriving raw inside on delivery.

If ordering fish or tapa, check doneness and portion expectations before settling in.
