“We ordered the chicken penne pasta with marinara sauce and basil, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, classic fried calamari, and a chocolate cheesecake for dessert. They also served complimentary bread and butter to start, which was a great touch. The fried calamari arrived first and it did not disappoint, tender on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside, and the dipping sauces were simple but really elevated the flavor. 😊 The meatloaf was the star of the night. The sauce, texture, and flavor were outstanding. The mashed potatoes, however, could have been better, they tasted a bit rushed, with large chunks and not as creamy as expected. I was excited for the chicken penne pasta since I’d been craving pasta. Jennifer kindly added a scoop of parmesan on top, which I appreciated. The chicken pieces were good and the pasta was perfectly al dente, but the marinara sauce felt a bit watery and lacked richness and depth. I was also expecting fresh basil leaves rather than a basil-style sauce.”
