Loved the flavours of the meat and combination of molasses but they forgot to top it with pine nuts as per their menu, that was a bummer.”

  17. Chicken moussaka fatayer Net 0

    Only neutral feedback

“Both Chicken moussaka fatayer and Lahme fatayer were supposed to have pine nuts as toppings. Instead of pine seeds I found sliced Almond nuts, masquerading as Pine nuts. Almond nuts, Obviously, much cheaper than the Pine nuts, so restaurant is CHEATING it's customers. The taste of the food was not bad, but it was NOT AUTHENTIC.”

  4. Chicken musakhan Net −1
“But I do not recommend the Chicken Musakhan.”

“Order many faters .. one of the them was the falafel one. It’s the worst!! The falafel was yesterday falafel !!!! The cheese wasn’t the akawe cheese !!! The only thing that was good is the Lahmch Ajeen. Price is so high compared to the quality of the food.!!!! Don’t buy !”
  7. Fatteh Net −1
“When talking about Arabic breakfast like (Foul, Hummus, Mosabaha, or Fatteh), the offered portion is a total deviation from standard portion sizes commonly offered by other restaurants which left us unsatisfied.”
  8. Fried cauliflower Net −1
    “Fried cauliflower (was not good)”
  9. Kebbeh fatter Net −1
“The kebbeh fatter was NOT fatteh. Nor did it look anything like the photo. The laban was curdled. Just kebbeh soaked on broken laban and like a spoon of chickpeas. Wasn't edible.”
  10. Kofta tahini fatayer Net −1
“Next up, ‘Kofta Tahini Fatayer’: this baked eat had grilled beef kofta, onions, tomatoes, and potatoes topped with tarator (a tahini based sauce) and tomato sauce. As much as the ingredients sound delicious, we had high expectations for this but it fell short. For the price we paid 35/- aed, definitely wasn’t worth it. There was no tomato sauce, this wasn’t even close to what the picture depicts- yes, I know everything may not be what it seems on then menu, but there was a stark difference between how it’s made on the picture and what we got. I did love the sauce, but there was no caramelisation of the intended ingredients, making it watery due to the tomatoes, the kofta itself was a bit bland. Felt as though they did a sloppy job.”
  11. Lahmeh bil ajine Net −1
“The lahmeh bil ajine hardly had any meat on it.”
  12. Mosabaha Net −1
“When talking about Arabic breakfast like (Foul, Hummus, Mosabaha, or Fatteh), the offered portion is a total deviation from standard portion sizes commonly offered by other restaurants which left us unsatisfied.”

“I am very disappointed this time :( I ordered from Motor City branch .. Zataar manaesh has barely any Zataar .. Cheese manaesh has barely any cheese .. very poor food despite the expensive price”
  14. Hummus Net −2
“The Foul and hummus extremely small portions barley enough for one person.”

Tips for a Better Visit

1

Allow Time. For delivery, build in extra time rather than relying on the quoted estimate; one order arrived over two hours late.

2

Mix Cheeses. Ask whether two cheeses can be mixed in one manakeesh; a reviewer specifically said the combination tasted delicious.

Common Concerns

Showing 2 of 5

Late Delivery

Delivery delays are a repeated problem, with some orders taking over two hours and arriving cold.

Small Portions

Several reviews describe breakfast portions as unusually small, including just 140 grams per container.

The Bottom Line

The Palestinian Bakery is a Palestinian bakery in Al Quoz built around fatayer and manakeesh. The clearest strengths in the reviews are cheese manakeesh, cheese-and-zaatar manakeesh, Akkawi cheese fatayer and the unusual cheese kunafa made with a bread base. One reviewer also described manakeesh being baked after ordering and ready in about 10 minutes.

There is a noticeable gap between older enthusiastic reports and several recent complaints. Earlier customers praised generous toppings, fresh baking and careful packaging; more recent delivery orders describe fatayer arriving with little filling, stale pastries, scant cheese or zaatar, and an Egg Shakshuka Fatayer with raw egg whites. A report of spoiled hummus is another reason to check an order before eating.

Value is a recurring concern. Customers have called the portions small and the prices high, particularly for Arabic breakfast dishes; one review says portions were intentionally 140 grams per container. The menu can still work for a focused pastry order, but expectations around quantity matter.

Delivery is the biggest practical risk. Orders have reportedly taken over two hours, arrived cold, been missing items or been substituted. If you order, allow plenty of time, confirm availability, and ask about current direct-order promotions.

For the Alserkal Avenue setting, note that seating was outdoors and uncomfortable in summer heat.
