Check coverage. Ask the desk to explain rental terms and insurance clearly before signing.
Confirm extras. Check whether your booking includes unlimited mileage, a full tank or full insurance; one holiday rental had all three.
Ask alternatives. If your chosen car is unavailable, ask whether an upgrade or another suitable option is available.
Plan extensions. If your dates may change, ask about extending the rental; one customer repeatedly prolonged their stay.

The Bottom Line
Thrifty Car Rental at City Centre Meaisem is a car-rental desk for short stays, monthly hires and longer UAE rentals, with vehicles described as ranging from Mini to Luxury. Reviews make the branch appealing when you want a straightforward booking and handover: customers repeatedly describe the paperwork, pickup and return as quick, smooth and clearly explained. The fleet experience is concrete rather than abstract.
One renter took a Mazda 6 that was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition; another used a city car for 10 days and reported it had fewer than 1,000 km. A long-term renter said the car remained good while their stay was repeatedly extended, so asking about extending a booking is worthwhile. Some useful extras appear in individual reviews, but should be confirmed for your booking rather than assumed: an Eid-holiday rental included paperless transactions, unlimited mileage, a full tank and full insurance.
Another customer received an upgrade when their chosen car was unavailable. Rates were described as affordable or reasonable in several reviews, though no actual amounts are provided. For a first visit, ask the desk to explain the rental conditions, insurance and available options before signing.
WhatsApp communication was also praised for making questions easy. The reviews do not provide parking details or meaningful complaints, so check those practical points directly if they matter to your trip.
