  6. Hotpot spicy Net +1
“I had the hotpot spicy with a lot of seafood items. While you might be a little held back to eat raw prawn, beef meatballs , prawn meatballs - you need to boil it in the hotpot on the table which has a stove. Now the other thing is you need to also make your sauce which has a peanut base and I made mine. So how its eaten is take the boiling item from the hotpot, dip it in the sauce and eat it. Trust me its amazing and a very acquired taste but its great to eat.”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 6
1

Prioritise Hot Pot. Choose the hot pot-focused package if that is your main goal; one reviewer found the buffet underwhelming but the hot pot worthwhile.

2

Avoid Late Visits. Avoid arriving after 9 PM if possible, since one late booking found little buffet food and no refills before leaving.

The Bottom Line

Tony Wong is a Chinese hot pot restaurant in Jumeirah Village Circle built around individual pots. You choose your broth, add meats, seafood, vegetables or noodles, then cook everything at the table and mix your own dipping sauce. The hot pot is the clear draw; buffet dishes and sushi are supporting extras rather than the main reason to come.

Reviews commonly praise fresh ingredients and broths ranging from collagen and mushroom to spicy options. The setting is cozy and neatly decorated, and staff are often credited with helping guests, refilling broth and accommodating birthday meals. There is also a small buffet, with mentions of noodles, fried rice, dumplings, salads and desserts, though its quality and availability appear less consistent than the hot pot.

Reported prices include AED 68 per person for an all-you-can-eat hot pot buffet and sushi, AED 79 for a dinner option, and AED 88+ VAT for a buffet, hot pot and ice cream package. Treat these as customer-reported examples rather than a current price list. Book ahead for busy evenings, avoid arriving close to closing, and ask how ingredient requests work.

Parking exists, but JVC spaces may take some searching.
