  1. Tres leches Net +4
“The food was good but my favourite part of the meal was definitely their signature Tres Leches Cake which is a must try- it’s absolutely delicious and if there’s one thing I could have taken home with me in my suitcase back to the UK, it would have been a few slices of this amazing dessert! I’m still dreaming about it now!!”

What to Avoid (5)

Food 5

  1. Encocado Net −1
“They had another dish (encocado) which the waiter described as soup. I asked if it was more like a curry and he looked at me like he didn't understand and then he said, "it's like a soup..." The dish comes out and it's not soup, it's literally just Thai red curry with a pretty standard generic flavor. No idea why they would claim it's a Colombian soup. I could make that blindfolded. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't even remotely Latino Colombian or fusion. If I wanted basic Thai red curry, I could get it for much less at the mall.”
  2. Octopus Net −1
“My husband got octopus. It was interesting, but he wouldn’t order it again.”
  3. Ravioli Net −1
“Ravioli contents watery, no taste and the same for seafood pasta. Tasteless, no garlic, italian herts or very little seasoning.”
  4. Seafood pasta Net −1
“Ravioli contents watery, no taste and the same for seafood pasta. Tasteless, no garlic, italian herts or very little seasoning.”
  5. Vegetarian special dish Net −1
“For the main I asked for the vegetarian special dish (rice with vegetables) and I again said NOT SPICY as I can’t eat spicy food. The waitress said “it’s not spicy” but when I tried the dish it turned out to be really spicy :(”

Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 5
1

Book Brunch. Reserve brunch if you want the full entertainment programme; Ramadan brunch was specifically quieter and had no entertainment.

2

Expect Noise. Choose another venue for a conversation-heavy business lunch or quiet date, as Saturday music can overpower the table.

Loud Music

Live music can be loud enough to make conversation difficult, especially during Saturday brunches.

Slow Service

Busy brunches can slow service, and one Ramadan visit involved waiting to order another drink.

The Bottom Line

Toro Toro is a Latin American restaurant in Dubai Marina that works best when you want dinner or brunch with a strong social atmosphere. You can order ceviche, empanadas, cachapas, tacos and grilled meats, then stay for cocktails, DJs, dancers or live performances. The Sunset Brunch is the clearest all-round experience, with dishes such as ceviche mixto, corn empanadas, Argentinian striploin and Tres Leches.

Food quality is not completely consistent. Many diners praise the bold flavours, steak and beautifully presented plates, while one recent review found ravioli and seafood pasta bland and under-seasoned. The cachapas have also divided opinion: one diner loved them, while another found them too heavy on cheese and sauce.

The room is stylish, spacious and energetic, and the winter terrace offers Marina-facing outdoor dining. That energy comes with a trade-off: several reviews say the music can make conversation difficult, particularly at Saturday brunch, while a Ramadan visit was quieter but had no entertainment. Service is often attentive, though busy periods can bring delays.

Vegetarian diners have a separate menu, and hotel valet parking is available. Check the bill and ask clearly about spice levels if either matters to your visit.
