Tips for a Better Visit
Photograph everything. Take detailed photos of scratches, rims and warning lights before driving away; one renter needed photos when questioned about existing rim damage.
Confirm timing. Reconfirm delivery and collection times, because reviews report substantial delays and limited proactive updates.
Check the car. Inspect cleanliness, fuel level and dashboard warnings before accepting the vehicle, and reject or document anything unresolved.
Clarify returns. Ask how far in advance collection must be booked and how early returns are billed before confirming a longer rental.
Verify charges. Review toll, damage and fine deductions carefully, and ask for evidence before accepting a charge.
Confirm vehicle. If a specific model matters, reconfirm it shortly before pickup; one customer was offered a different car shortly before delivery.

The Bottom Line
eZhire is a Dubai car-rental service built around app booking, self-drive rentals and doorstep delivery. Customers use it for everything from two-day trips to month-long rentals, with vehicles mentioned in reviews including the Nissan Xterra, Kia Picanto, Mini Cooper and Suzuki Ciaz. No-deposit booking is a recurring attraction, and several new UAE licence holders found the process welcoming.
Convenience is the strongest part of the experience when operations go smoothly. Reviews describe booking in under five minutes, cars arriving at the customer’s location, and collection from the same place. Monthly plans starting from AED 1,249 may suit residents who want flexibility without committing to a lease.
The important caveat is inconsistency. Some renters received clean, well-maintained cars on time, while others reported dirty interiors, unrecorded scratches, warning lights, late deliveries or a JAC vehicle that cut out three times in traffic. Support has resolved issues for some customers, but others describe scripted or dismissive responses.
Before driving away, photograph every panel, wheel and dashboard warning, confirm the exact vehicle and agree the return procedure. Ask how collection timing, early returns, Salik, damage and other deductions are handled; several complaints involve extra-day or disputed charges.
