“I placed my order for a black tea, fatooush salad and the mixed grill platter. I then waited no less than 20 minutes before the kind waitresses came over to see if I had placed an order yet. Of course I had, so they asked who with. 5 minutes later I received the tea, which was barely warm. Another 8 minutes later I received the salad which was delicious! And asked for some hot water to warm up the cold tea, she brought me a fresh hot pot.”

“Then just 5 minutes later the mixed grill platter came out and the flavor was great! It would have been better had it been warm. Because of that, the cold chips (French fries) weren’t great.”

Order less. Start with about 75% of what you think you can eat; one reviewer found the portions humongous.
Try kabsa. Consider the Chicken Kabsa if you want a specific recommendation highlighted by a local reviewer.
Check temperature. If ordering a grill, check that the meat and sides are hot when they arrive; some diners reported lukewarm mains.
Consider iftar. The reported AED59 iftar meal may work for lighter eaters; one reviewer said it could be shared by two with additions.
Choose outdoors. For a view, ask about outdoor seating; a reviewer described it as a pleasant setting near the beach.
Plan the visit
One visit involved confused staff who appeared undertrained and took their time moving around.
Two diners reported grill dishes arriving less than warm, affecting the meal and, in one case, the fries.
One diner waited 8–10 minutes to be approached, then another 20 minutes before staff checked the order.
A black tea arrived barely warm before a waitress replaced it with a fresh hot pot.

The Bottom Line
Kababji - The Beach JBR is a casual Lebanese grill in Dubai Marina, with indoor and outdoor seating and a beach-area setting. It is a useful pick when you want a proper meal rather than just mezze: reviews specifically mention the mixed grill platter, Chicken Kabsa, Shish Taouk meal and freshly baked breads. The food is often described as fresh, authentic and filling.
Portions are a recurring strength. One daily lunch customer says servings are “way more than enough”, while another advises ordering 75% of what you think you can eat. The Shish Taouk meal is described as a complete option with salad, sides and kebab, and the bread is praised fresh from the oven with zaatar, olive oil and sesame seeds.
Value also comes through in the reported prices: an iftar meal was AED59 in March 2025, and a lunch meal deal was AED61 in December 2023. These are dated customer reports, not a current price list. A review also places the restaurant near Ain Dubai and notes the outdoor view.
Service is usually described as warm, attentive and helpful with recommendations and children, but it is not perfectly consistent. Some diners reported confused service or waits of 20 minutes before an order was checked, and two grill meals arrived less than warm. If temperature matters, mention it when the food arrives.
