Tips for a Better Visit

Showing 2 of 5
1

Dine in. For a more predictable experience, consider dining in rather than relying on delivery, which several reviews say arrives late.

2

Allow time. If visiting during a work break, allow extra time: one customer reported waiting almost half an hour for table service.

The Bottom Line

King Chef Restaurant is a casual Al Quoz restaurant with a strong Kerala and South Indian identity. Breakfast is one of its clearest draws, while diners also mention chicken biryani, chicken korma with Kerala parata, fish curry and Pothi Biryani. The menu suits office workers and anyone looking for familiar Malabar-style food rather than a polished fine-dining setting.

Food feedback is often positive and specific: reviewers describe soft parottas, flavourful beef fry, generous portions and chicken mandi biryani that impressed at its price point. Some regulars say the food is easy on the stomach, and the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. It is also described as a short walk from Onpassive Metro Station.

The main caution is service consistency. Several customers report delivery delays ranging from over an hour to more than two hours, while others mention rejected orders, missing items or food arriving cold. Phone manners and table service also attract complaints.

Parking can be difficult in the afternoon. 5 AED for three teas and one coffee. For a first visit, dining in and allowing extra time may be wiser than placing a time-sensitive delivery order.
