  6. International buffet Net −1
“Before planning, I called twice to confirm the menu and was told it would be an international buffet. However, when we arrived, the selection was mostly Arabic dishes, which was quite different from what we expected. Additionally, many of the dishes were running out very quickly. The manager kindly offered to prepare something special for us, and they served a small portion of shrimp and chicken, which we appreciated. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. That said, we were disappointed with the overall food experience, especially since we chose to dine here based on the information given beforehand.”

The Bottom Line

Mistral is a buffet restaurant in Jebel Ali Village built around a marketplace-style setting and live stations. You can come for breakfast, lunch or dinner buffets; the reviews most clearly highlight made-to-order omelettes, sushi, seafood and a broad sweets selection. Some guests also enjoyed fresh pizza for children and a relaxed breakfast atmosphere.

The experience is notably uneven. Positive visits describe fresh, well-presented food, attentive hospitality and varied international stations. Breakfast appears to be a safer bet for those who prefer a quieter meal, while dinner reviews range from excellent pasta, seafood and desserts to complaints about bland food, hard mains and limited choice.

Check the exact theme before booking. One group was promised an international buffet but found mostly Arabic dishes, while another reported dishes running out quickly. Seafood nights have also produced mixed feedback, including complaints about small portions and freshness.

Price is the main concern in several reviews: AED 140 was judged poor value, and an older Surf & Turf review cited AED 235 per person. Confirm current voucher terms and the final bill in advance, especially for Groupon or Entertainer offers. Valet parking and Ibn Battuta Mall parking were both mentioned by a visitor.
