  18. Seabas Net +1
“Visited Tagomago for lunch. The food was good - the seabas was delicious and the Spanish seafood dishes were flavorful. However, the service was lacking. We had an issue with the cold weather and extra blanket request. Despite being a Monday with plenty of available blankets, the waiter said they didn't have extras, and the reception gave another excuse later saying they give one blanket to each customer. To top it off, the lady at reception said no need to validate the parking, but when we exited, we were asked to pay 30 dirhams as we didn't validate the parking. Not impressed with the attitude. Not recommended for a nice service.”

Food 1

  1. Sea bass tiradito Net −1
“During our latest visit, we ordered the sea bass tiradito, a dish we’ve enjoyed many times before. This time, both my partner and I found the fish tasted unusually fishy and concerning. Not wanting to risk getting sick, we decided to send it back after each trying only one or two pieces.”

The Bottom Line

Tagomago combines a Spanish restaurant with a beach-club day out on Palm Jumeirah. You can book a pool or beach day, settle into a low-music atmosphere, or come for dinner overlooking the water. The strongest food mentions include squid ink paella, Spanish tapas such as patatas bravas and padrón peppers, grilled sea bass and the goat Basque cheesecake.

The setting is a major part of the appeal. Reviewers describe a quieter, Mediterranean-feeling venue with clean sea and sand, comfortable showers and changing rooms, and occasional complimentary paddle boarding. Families have used the kids’ menu successfully, while yoga-and-breakfast sessions offer a peaceful morning by the waves.

Prices are high by some diners’ accounts: spicy beef chorizo croquettes were reported at Dhs45 for three, and one bill for two with five and a half beers came to about AED1300. Experiences are not perfectly consistent. Recent complaints mention a dated feel, pool cleanliness, flavourless olive oil, forgotten dishes and awkward handling of food-quality concerns.

Confirm parking validation before leaving, and consider asking about portions when ordering.
