Tips for a Better Visit
Check Grades. Confirm the school, grade and edition before paying; one customer received incorrect JSS-IS books and had to make another payment.
Confirm Delivery. If ordering online, confirm dispatch and tracking directly rather than relying only on the promised three-day delivery window.
Allow Parking. Leave extra time to park around the shop, as reviews describe nearby parking as very hard to find.
Carry Small Cash. If paying cash, bring smaller denominations because one review says the shop may not have change during busy periods.
Avoid Rush. For delivery or phone follow-up, avoid the school-reopening rush where possible; calls may go unanswered then.

The Bottom Line
Goyals Books and Beyond is a practical Deira stop for school supplies, especially curriculum books, notebooks and stationery. Reviews mention CBSE and ICSE books, TMS school books, and school accessories for GEMS schools, so it is useful when you want to source school materials in one visit rather than search several shops. The shop appears compact, but customers say the selection is broad and that they often find what they need immediately.
Card payments are accepted, and some reviews describe prices as reasonable. Seasonal items also appear: one customer specifically mentioned Christmas material and gifts. Service is the strongest recurring positive, with reviews describing patient, cooperative help while locating books or answering questions.
That said, experiences are not completely consistent. One customer reported receiving the wrong JSS-IS grade books after a four-hour wait and then struggling to get a refund. Be cautious with online delivery around school reopening.
A customer waited more than a week without useful follow-up, while another said calls go unanswered during the busy season. For an in-person visit, allow time for parking: the shop has been described as congested, with nearby spaces difficult to find. If paying cash, carry smaller denominations because change may be limited.
